September 21, 2018 - Power Skating - RMH will be offering power skating with Laura Simpson on Tuesdays.  The jr. group will run from 4:30-5:05 and the sr. group will run from 5:05-5:50.  Cost for Jr. Knights players is $75 and for Novice - Midget players is $50.  There are limited spots and will be offered on a first come basis.

September 14, 2018 - Parent Meeting Follow Up - Any parent that wishes to have their Novice player moved to Atom must email admin@raymondminorhockey.com no later than Tuesday September 25th.  This option is only available to those players that played Novice last year.  If no email is received, player will be staying in Novice.  Any Atom player wishing to play CAHL must attend the evaluation skate at the Enmax in Lethbridge on September 29 @ 7:30pm.  If you attend the tryout, you will be placed on a CAHL team only if you make it.  If you don't make it, you will be placed on an Exhibition team.  If enough skaters attend to make 2 CAHL teams, there will be an A and a B team playing in CAHL.  If not enough players attend the evaluation skate to form a team, we will make 3 Exhibition teams.  IF YOU INTEND TO PLAY EXHIBITION, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE EVALUATION.  NO PLAYER WILL BE MOVED TO THE EXHIBITION TEAMS  AFTER THE EVALUATION UNLESS THEY DO NOT MAKE THE CAHL TEAM.

September 6, 2018 - Sorry for any confusion with the parent meeting for Atom and Novice aged kids.  The meeting will be on Thursday September 13th at 7:30 at the ice arena.  It had been originally scheduled for tonight, but needed to be post-poned, and the website failed to reflect the updated time.

September 1, 2018 - Info for the upcoming 2018/2019 Hockey Season.  Ice will be in Raymond on October 9th.

Initiation
Initiation will now encompass kids aged 4-7 that are in Grade 3 or younger.  RMH will work with the Town to merge the Pond Hockey program for kids this age to form the Jr. Knights program.  The cost will be $169 and will include a weekly practice, and a game in Raymond most Saturday mornings at either 8:15am or 9:15am in our own house league.  Teams will play half ice and will consist of 6-9 skaters.  There will also be a tournament in February that will host other Initiation teams from around Southern Alberta.  Players can register through the Towns online registration portal or through RMH.  Children would not receive a family discount that are playing in this program.  For those kids in this program that want to do power skating, the cost would be $75 to sign up for Power Skating with Laura Simpson on Tuesdays throughout the season.

Novice & Atom
Raymond will run a half ice Novice program this year as recommended by Hockey Alberta.  The team will play an exhibition or CAHL schedule against other towns half ice Novice teams.  A parent meeting is scheduled for Thursday September 13 at 7:30 to discuss this with all Novice and Atom parents.  Any player that played full ice Novice last year will have the option to move up to Atom to continue playing full ice as they have done for the last 3-4 seasons.  At the Atom level, we anticipate 1 CAHL team and 2 exhibition teams this year.  These options will be discussed at the parent meeting on September 13th.  Atom Evaluations will be held on September 29th at 7:30pm in Lethbridge at the Enmax Center.
